I guess everyone noticed lately that youtube changed their flash video player interface to including a menu browsing within embedded video players. This gives the possibility to browse the entire youtube website from a single player, jumping from one movie to another.
This is of course an interesting feature for viewers because they don’t need to load different pages to look at different videos, everything is accessible from a single player. However, this option might irritating for content publishers, website owner, bloggers and especially mashups builder.
If you take for example a poker blog using TubePress to post video content from youtube for a specific keyword, might be a certain poker game. Now if the show related videos option in youtube player is ON, the visitors will switch to whatever youtube menu offers.
TubePress 2.6 offers a solution to hide related videos inside the youtube player and gives you the power to offer targeted video content on your website or blog. View Live Demo

Does this only applies to new imported videos?

Kim: TubePress always maintains backward compatibility back to v2.0. Unfortunately older tubepress versions are not supported anymore.
TubePress implements TP code to write the post into wordpress. This gives it the power to add design functionalities in real-time.
Since I am receiving many similar questions by email, I will post a few words about how tubepress works.

hello.
I am very interested in this plugin: a site I am currently working on needs a “videogallery” and as I did not find any suitable solutions, except the other tubepress called plugin which displays videos from youtube in a kind of gallery, and which limits me to the queries I can do about the videos I would very much prefer your plugin as I can search inside my posts, I can display the thumbs, thus creating a gallery but I am very unsure how it works.
The site I need it for, does regular videos, will publish them on youtube and soon after publishing there the videos need to be imported… but I am unsure how the date will be set to these psots, so if I import now all movies of a certain youtube account, will all posts be dated as of today? and many other questions. I and others woudl be very grateful if you could psot a little more details about your plugin.
thx

Ovidiu: Thanks for your interest in my TubePress plugin. I know I have not written a lot of documentation about my plugin yet, however I’m trying to answer as many answers as I can in this website and by doing so I hope to cover everything about it.
Regarding your question about the timestamp, it will have the date that you do the import i.e. today.
If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask them here, so other users could benefit as well and I will be glad to answer.
