Will be possible to instead of inserting the code for the youtube player insert the full youtube URL in a especific custom field?

That way my theme can handle the video, use my own player but I get all the benefits of this awesome plugin.

David I have been using it on 2 WP2.8 blogs. You might want to try another theme or try turning off some plugins.

2.8 is very picky about old plugins but this works! At least for me.

I download the tubepress.net but cannot run it in my wordpress 2.8. When I activate it, a message appears that says header does not work.

Can you make this program work by displaying most relevant video by tags? Say at the end of my post, I want to show the first result for “horses”

I can just do this:
[tubepress]horses[/tubepress]

That would be excellent if you can do it!

@Mark: It’s kind of difficult to distinguish TubePress generated posts from normal posts. Could you please give me a link to a post that is supposed to have TubePress video. You mentioned you have the same problem as Alin, are your old post showing as follows? I didn’t notice any post like that.

OK, Im having the same problems that Alin had only a bit worse. I had the exact thing happen so I deactivated the new version and reactivated the old version… now, none of the pages have videos on them (BTW site is SEOReel dot com). I dont know what to do… Tried re-downloading just now and reactivated new plugin, deactivated old, and still no videos. Now I am back with 2.6 and the site is missing all videos. Please help… Thanks..

@Alin: It seems that the upgrade function didn’t run correctly in your case. I made a fix to make check for older post and upgrade them every time you enter the setup.
It should be fine now, please let me know if you still have issues.
You’re right, the plugin doesn’t check for duplicate videos, however it doesn’t create a confusion for wordpress if you have videos with similar titles.
Anyway, I will try to add it as an option to remove duplications.

@Ashley: Yes! if you take a look at the TubePress setup page, you see that you can define where to put each video (post or page). Choose it, Save the options before you import videos.
